Sauna is a place where you sweat, similar to what you would do at a gym. A sauna typically has higher heat and lower humidity.
Pirts has lower heat (50°-70° C) and higher humidity. It’s a place where you connect with nature and with yourself. Pirts is used for procedures using whisks made from tree branches, plants, and other nature’s gifts.
While saunas are about heat and sweating, pirtis focus on pampering the body and soul, utilizing plants and the forces of nature - the 4 ELEMENTS.
-
Pirts is a place, where the 4 natural forces come together.
Fire - a wood-burning stove. Fire burns away the unnecessary and provides energy for new beginnings.
Earth - pirts stones, plants, whisks. The grounding feeling you get while relaxing in the lounge area.
Water - used extensively in pirts, water purifies. Immersion in the cold water tub provides an invaluable feeling of relief.
Air - a window that can be opened for fresh air. A terrace… Relaxation in fresh air brings clarity of mind.
-
After pirts procedures, you should thoroughly rinse the benches with cold water and clean the floor, paying special attention to corners and hard-to-reach areas. It's also recommended to rinse the underside of the benches.
After cleaning, add a bit more firewood to the stove to keep the heat in the room longer, to make sure your pirts dries completely.
-
Pirts offers numerous health benefits. It helps to relax the nervous system and muscles, and improves metabolic processes.
During whisking (a type of massage with bundles of twigs), the body receives a vibro-massage that loosens muscles and joints. The sound of the whisks also creates a meditative state that helps the mind relax.
After a pirts treatment, which can include scrubbing, whisking, joint warming, and honey massage, you will feel like you’ve been born again.

4 ELEMENTS modules are made exclusively from natural materials - wood, wood fiber, and lime. We do not use any artificial materials, foams, or plastic films. We believe that a natural environment in the pirts is fundamental to maintaining health and vitality.
For thermal insulation, we use wood fiber boards, which is a completely natural material with a natural binder - resin.
-
Yes, of course. The pirts has a unique ventilation system that provides plenty of fresh air without losing heat inside the room.

The windows in our 4 ELEMENTS pirtis & saunas have a bronze tint, which prevents people from seeing inside during the day.
At night, with the interior lights on, the windows will be transparent. However, 4 ELEMENTS pirtis & saunas have a unique lighting system where you can turn on the outdoor lights installed in the window frames to make the windows non-transparent from the outside.
Mobile pirts & sauna

The difference is significant – both in construction and in the overall feeling.
A barrel sauna is built as a rounded wooden barrel without a proper frame. It usually has little or no insulation, so the heat escapes quickly. Because of humidity and temperature fluctuations, the wood in a barrel sauna often deforms - boards shrink, gaps appear, and the metal bands need regular tightening. Over time, the structure loses its shape and stability.
The 4 Elements mobile sauna is a fully framed sauna, built according to the same principles as a stationary, handcrafted sauna. It’s insulated with natural wood fiber, which breathes and maintains a balanced indoor climate. The lime-based floor stores warmth, is antibacterial, and feels pleasant underfoot. The interior is finished with alder wood, known for its warm tone, moisture resistance, and calm, natural scent.
The result is deep, even, and healing heat. The sauna breathes with you, and there are no deformation or tightening issues.
The structure is strong, natural, and long-lasting. It’s a genuine nature SPA on wheels, offering the same experience as a stationary sauna - not just a temporary barrel sauna effect.
