I am Nauris Mālnieks - a pirts master and carpenter from Latvia with 10 years of experience working in pirtis & saunas with people

As a pirts master I have discovered the secrets of a comfortable and high quality pirts & sauna - the best size in each situation, placement and height of the benches, thought-out ventilation, the movement of air in a pirts & sauna…

While my knowledge of carpentry has allowed me to bring those ideas to life and create comfortable pirts & sauna modules for relaxing and enjoyable pirts & sauna experience.

Out of love for nature and concern for human health, we use only natural materials in our pirtis & saunas - wood, natural wood fiber, hemp tow, lime…

The pirtis & saunas we create are natural and pleasant, have good, well thought out ventilation, and will last a long time.

In these pirtis & saunas, you will be able to bathe, use whisks, scrubs, and honey, shower with water - with no fear about damaging the pirts & sauna. All underlying structures are protected from water and will not rot, but will provide you and your loved ones with an enjoyable sauna for years to come.

Latvian Pirts is more than just a sauna

A significant set of Latvian cultural and historical traditions include cleansing, healing, maintaining health and well-being of the body by uniquely using plants and other nature’s gifts under the effect of heat and moisture.

In pirts Latvians traditionally use a lot of herbs, whisks made from leaves, healing herbs, and scrubs made from herbs for peeling procedures, honey masks… Often procedures take place in pirts, where the pirts master works with a person using whisks, scrubs, and honey for therapeutic and healing procedures, as well as sauna rituals.
